37 ex days

I posted this on that EX blog on day 37 of quitting smoking. That would be yesterday.
There are now huge chunks of time (read: almost 24 hours) where I don’t think about smoking a single puff. It’s nice, although what I really want is to not think about cigarettes at all. One of the reasons [...]

That’s how many days it’s been since I quit. It’s saved me something like $200 and about 5 days of living, supposedly*. Most impressive stat, though? I’ve NOT smoked over 700 cigarettes in that time. Snap.

not slowing down

I went to Spokane and Nine Mile Falls a couple weeks back. Then last weekend there was camping at Fish Lake near Conconully. Then earlier this week I stayed in the Moonlodge at Sacred Groves on Bainbridge. In a couple weekends I’ll be going to Salt Lake City with family to see family (Thank you, [...]

Probably because I was a secret nerd, I’ve researched every drug I’ve ever taken*. The recreational ones, the prescribed ones, the OTC ones. I wanted to know what was going to happen in my brain (and body, I guess) before deciding if I want said chemical reaction to take place inside my skull. That sounds [...]

Day 2

I’m not going to turn this into a smoking blog (unless I want to later), but I will say that this whole quitting thing is harder than I remember it being.

so. annoying.

I quit smoking for a whole three months, about 5 years back. I remember the first few days being VERY, VERY EASY and then it got hard at some point. And then I started smoking at yet another later point in time. I wasn’t ready for it to be hard right off the bat. I [...]

seriously

Tomorrow is my “quit date.” Tonight at midnight, I’m going to gleefully (or woefully) crush whatever smokes remain in my pack. So long, P-funk and friends.
(Wish me luck.)
