joe plans
My old friend Joe (no, not ‘Almost My Oldest Friend, The Joe Brown,’ but another very good man who shares the name Joseph) just started writing a bit of his own Year In Review. He writes about that kinda stuff on his LiveJournal blog at big times — new year, birthdays, etc. I understand why people review their pasts, but I’ve never been one to make specific plans for the future. Especially in the way he does it, like the “Themes” (I like “pay now” - not so sure about the “say yes to everything” thing). It boggles my mind a little to realize that we all see this big globe and our time on it through such different eyes. And that people like Joe have the determination to put so many ideas into action in their lives. Although, to make myself feel better, I’m gonna give partial credit to his twin boys — I’m sure being a parent changes more than just a little perspective.
