i did mention a new job, right?
I can be unrealistic at times. Not too often, but like here, on this blog. I like to think there is some level of anonymity, because I’m sitting on a couch somewhere out in the ether typing this and you are at home staring at a screen. You can’t see me or hear me, so you don’t really know it’s me.
But that is an illusion. My info is find-able if you know how to look around. I am not anonymous–not to mention the fact that most of you readers are people I know. Except that person near Wichita–I don’t think I know who you are. Anyway, my point is that there’s no reason to “hide” this site from people in my real life. Hell, maybe it’ll motivate me to actually do something with it. Novel idea, eh?
All of this blabber leads to one thing I wanted to say: I like the people I work with (over at this site). I’m just gonna mention two people and then I’ll be over it (and no, they don’t know about my site). There’s one other producer, he’s a full-timer Blue Badge real-deal employee, who is not technically my boss, but he kinda is in my head–he’s awesome. I’m pretty sure that he’s someone I could actually be friends with. Then, there’s my actual manager who has great war-stories from the days of yore in the music and journalism/media industries–also very cool.
So, for any not-awesome aspects of this gig (*cough*commute*cough*), at least when we’re in the thick of webpage-making-madness (cough*this concert thing*cough) I have good people around while we get through it.
